The basic principle of the Centre is to provide a caring, stimulating and inspiring environment that will support children in becoming confident, independent learners. To provide the highest levels of care and education for every child through observation and planning based on their individual needs and interests, and to build positive partnerships with parents and carers.
We pride ourselves on our fantastic outdoor area which encourages children to explore and create their own outdoor learning experience. This approach to providing an environment that both supports and challenges children is continued in our free flow open plan nursery.
Children are encouraged to explore, create, problem solve and learn through adult led and self initiated play.
Partnership with Parents
We believe that children benefit most from early years education and care when parents and settings work together in partnership.
Our aim is to support parents as their children's first and most important educators by involving them in their child's education and in the full life of the setting. We also aim to support parents in their own continuing education and personal development.
We are offering Parent Workshops this year to support children's continual education at home.
''Parents are kept well-informed of their child's daily activities through discussion with staff and use of a communication book. Staff offer times to meet with parents to discuss their children's achievements. This promotes positive partnership working.'' - Ofsted 2014
